Our Community is Stronger Every Day with Your Support

Elizabeth, a client of Liberation Programs, struggled with substance use disorder for more than half her life. She told us, “I started using drugs at 13, trying to escape the emptiness inside me. What began as a small attempt to cope grew to control my life for nearly two decades, filled with cycles of getting clean and falling back, jail visits, and countless unkept promises.”

Elizabeth’s Story unfolded in Fairfield County. She may have lived a few towns from you while experiencing such loneliness and suffering that she was consumed by substances. The support from our generous donors was instrumental in providing her services that ultimately led her having a relationship with her children. Your gift today could help reunite another family, it could help a parent stay alive long enough to realize that they want help or it could educate your community on the dangers that substances pose.

Together We Can Save Lives. Here’s how:

Your support makes housing, mental health services, effective treatment alternatives and other critical services available for people striving to sustain lifelong recovery.

  • Access to Treatment: Many we serve earn too much to qualify for Medicaid yet cannot afford insurance for treatment. We believe no one should be denied treatment because of their economic status.
  • Prevention Resources: We educate students and parents throughout Fairfield County to help prevent substance use through workshops, counseling, and community events.
  • Harm Reduction: Our outreach efforts reach over 2,000 people annually, offering lifesaving resources like NARCAN, hygiene kits, and wound-care supplies.
  • Family Counseling: Substance use affects entire families. Our family recovery coaches build trust and communication to provide holistic healing for families.
