"Can We Talk" Speakers Bureau

Your One Stop Resource For Great Speakers!

Liberation Programs is committed to educating the community about substance abuse. "Can We Talk" Speakers Bureau provides a myriad of benefits to:

  • Dispell myths and stigmas surrounding addiction
  • Educate on the impact addiction has on our youth and the community
  • Motivate, encourage and empower individuals at various stages of recovery

"Can We Talk" presenters are Liberation Programs' staff members, advocates and recovery volunteers; they are available to speak to all age groups and populations on a variety of topics. Presentations are designed specifically for each audience based on needs and interests whether it is a business, school, church, community group or civic organizations. Presentation topics include:

  • Testimonials from people in recovery
  • Current substance abuse trends both local and statewide
  • Signs and symptoms of substance abuse - actions to take - what you can do
  • Effects of addiction on children and youth
  • Substance abuse in the work place

About Our Speakers:

Individuals in Recovery
People in recovery volunteer to educate the public about substance abuse and how to successfully begin the recovery process. This unique and necessary tool establishes a significant platform for those whom substance abuse affects, or has affected directly, to talk personally about their experiences.

Professional Staff and Advocates
Professional staff members and advocates are available to share their knowledge and expertise on a variety of substance abuse education and prevention topics to raise awareness, educate the public, and promote substance abuse prevention to everyone.
